"State Level UG Project Competition" “M-Exhibit 2k23” under (Vidyarthi Vikas Mandal (VVM)

Objective: To provide an open platform for UG students to present their projects. To motivate the students to build a strong base for solving practical problems. To facilitate application of knowledge in real life situations. To enhance the presentation skills of students. To get guidelines and assessment of projects from industry personnel.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of PES’s Modern College of engineering in collaboration with Vidyarthi Vikas Mandal (VVM) of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) organized a State Level UG Project Competition “M-Exhibit 2k23” on 11th March 2023. Total 22 project groups from various colleges across the cities have participated in the competition. Projects were displayed by the students during 10 am to 1.00 pm. The industry persons from diverse domains such as Mr. Ashish Wani, Project Manager, Volter Systems, Pune, Mr. Yogesh Nandanwar, SDE (Tech) BSNL,C. Ameya Manas, Senior Data Scientist, Shyena Tech Yarns and Pranamya Bandopadhyay, System Platform Engineer, Mastercard were invited to judge the competition. Students received useful guidelines from industry people for further enhancement. Students got the opportunity to showcase their skill, research orientation and project work. The winners were awarded with Certificates and Cash Prizes.

Expert Session on “Life Skill Learning through Corporate Kirtan”

Objective: Describe various leadership skills and soft skills through spiritual references. Explain various life skill techniques. Explain various behavioral skills to engineering students.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
PES’s Modern College of Engineering E&TC Dept. has arranged an Expert Lecture on “Life Skill Learning through Corporate Kirtan” 17th February 2023. The session was conducted by Mr. Pushkar M. Aurangabadkar, Director, Milastic Education (P) Ltd, Pune. During the session the speaker clearly explained various lifelong learning skills by spiritual means, abhangas, devotional poems of sant Tukaram. He has also given importance of the knowledge, self confidence, politeness, communication and leadership skills with the example of Dr. Abdul Kalam.Total 75 students and 20 faculty members attended the session. The session was beneficial for all the students and faculty members and they enjoyed the session a lot.
Outcomes: Students received useful guidelines from industry people for further enhancement. Students got the opportunity to showcase their skill, research orientation and project work.
Personality Development and Improvement in Human Relationships

Objective: Guide students to enhance their personality by improving communication, interpersonal, leadership skills, etc. Create awareness about the importance of human relations.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
Rotaract Club of ENTC MCOE in collaboration with Vidyarthi Vikas Mandal (VVM) Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has organised a webinar series on “Personality Development and Improvement in Human Relationships” for students. The session was conducted by Mr. Shrikrishna Gandhe Head – HR (Human Resources), DelVal Flow Controls Pvt. Ltd. and Mrs. Khushabu Gajbhiye (Assistant Professor, Psychology Department, PES’s Modern College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Pune). The speakers guided the students on improving personality by setting clear goals and objectives to enhance qualities and competencies that will help them in their professional career. Students were made aware about the various attributes of personality development and the importance of values in maintaining and developing human relationships.The webinar helped students to understand about one’s personality, importance of communication skills as well as emotional intelligence.
Outcomes: Students learnt about importance of personality development and human relations and understood how to set up goal / objectives for individual development through systematic steps or action plan.

Lecture on “Disaster Management” helped in training the trainers by the competent persons which in turn aided the institution to undertake activities and measures so as to impart life skills, make good as well as responsive corporate citizens and multiply the forces available in the society.

“Web Development Using PHP & MySQL”

Objective: PHP & MYSQL training has been developed to facilitate acquisition of the open source training required in IT industry to improve the understanding of PHP environment & development. The program provides the requisite awareness and knowledge to understand key concepts that can be applied to IT projects.

From 5th February & 6th February 2018, Mr. Shailesh Dinde.(Assistant Prof. SGI Atigre) and Mr. Rohan Suyrawanshi (Softron Ltd), gave valuable information on Topic: “Web Development Using PHP & MySQL”. This workshop is coordinator is Mr. D.A.Patil from IT Dept. PHP with MySQL helps to build Dynamic web sites and web services concepts. The workshop will provide Demonstration & session on PHP & MySQL. In this workshop students will be create effective user friendly GUI for various web based projects. This workshop enhances students’ knowledge in maintaining the software cost, increasing stability and protection privacy of web based application.
Outcomes: After completion of these training participants will be able to understand PHP & MySql concepts and implement them practically to develop web-based application.

Summary of the Activity/Event:
Workshop on“Mobile Application Development” organized by InformationTechnology Department of PES Modern College of Engineering, Pune, on 7/2/2018 to 9/2/2018 .Android is an open source mobile Operating System. This workshop introduces about Android, the fastest growing mobile OS. The job opportunities in this stream are not only restricted to the manufacturing, repairing and maintenance of mobile handsets but also it provides a lot of career opportunities in mobile application development for software professionals.
Outcomes: This workshop focuses on how to design and develop Mobile Application Workshop and learn how to create own APP on Android platform & Publish it on Play-store.

Summary of the Activity/Event:
Total 12 project groups have participated in State Level BE Project Competition 2K18 In association with Savitribai Phule Pune University’s, Vidyarthi Vikas Mandal, IEEE student branch and IETE Students’ Forum. These project groups are from various districts viz. Ratnagiri, Dhule, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune etc. Projects were displayed by BE students during 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In first round, four groups were short listed by judge panel of four imminent industry persons. Then in second round, from these four groups first, second and third prize winners are selected.
Outcomes: Useful guidelines from industry persons. Opportunity for students to compete with other college students from all over the state and interact with industry people.

Outcomes: Students got an idea about prospects for start ups in Renewable Energy Students were able to understand the concept and implementation of Solar Roof tops and harness the use of Solar Energy.
“W.O.W. “Women of Wisdom” Self Defense Program ” under (Vidhyarthi Kalyan Mandal)

Objective: To give glimpse of self-defense program to girls of college
Summary of the Activity/Event:
The aim of this event was to make girls aware about how to handle any unpleasant situations without panic. Also about making goals in their lives and how to fulfill them. Mrs. Nilima Parab was the life goal expert who explained about goal setting and to do list to have organized life. Ms. Komal Bansal, pioneer of KBK Raksha encouraged girls to think about self-defense. Mr. Suhel Dhayagude, lawyer by profession, explained how to behave and react in certain situations by giving live demo.
Outcomes: Girls participated very enthusiastically. Girls also participated in practical session with vigor and they were happy to know that how self-defense can help in building self-confidence as well.
Automobile Servicing & Maintenance Workshop
Date & Day: Thursday & Friday – 22nd & 23rd Feb.2018

Objective: To inculcate a practical hands on experience on automobile servicing and maintenance for the the students and fill the gap between theory and application based knowledge.
Outcomes:
The students were exposed to each and every component of vehicle and their functioning. It helped to bridge the gap between theory and practical application based knowledge.
Summary of the Activity/Event: T22nd Feb: 10am – 1 pm at Vidyut Motors Volkswagen, Pune. Students gone through various departments of service centre and gained the knowledge about Volkswagen vehicles22nd Feb: 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm at PES MCOE, Pune. Summary of the Activity/Event:
Aptitude is basically defined as an innate, learned or acquired ability of an individual to perform certain tasks. Aptitude tests inculcate many factors like Numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, abstract reasoning, speed, accuracy, and other such abilities. Training is organizational effort aimed at helping students to acquire the basic skills required for the efficient execution of the functions for which they are learning. Development, on the other hand, deals with activities undertaken to expose students to perform additional duties and assume positions of importance in the professional life. Keeping all this in mind, Department of Computer Engineering of PES Modern College of Engineering had organized two days workshop on “Career Readiness with Proper Guidance and Right Attitude” in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University Under Student Welfare Scheme on 24th and 26th of January 2018.
Outcomes: Students get knowledge on Soft Skills, Interview Grooming, English Communication, Aptitude practice etc.

Students of all streams had participated in the program and were benefitted by the valuable information given by the Faculty member a lot.

Objective: To develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic and commitment to society.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
KarmaveerBhauraoPatilKamavaAnis hikaYogana (Earn and learn scheme) was organized in PES’s Modern college of Engineering Punefor Academic year 2017-18.Students parents having income less than 5 lakh enrolled their name for the scheme. The Scheme was started from month of July 2017 by conducting interview by the committee member formed in the college.Students from different department enroll their names. 35 students were selected and allocate work in library, Department and student section apart from their academic hours. Students were financially benefited or also appreciate Savitribai Phule University of Pune and College for implementing scheme through their feedback and made the scheme successful.
Outcomes: Keeping our youth gainfully employed as well as to contribute from civil society by making higher education accessible and available to the poor, meritorious and the marginalized.

Objective: To give glimpse of self-defense program to girls of college
Summary of the Activity/Event:
The aim of this event was to make girls aware about how to handle any unpleasant situations without panic. Also about making goals in their lives and how to fulfill them. Mrs. Nilima Parab was the life goal expert who explained about goal setting and to do list to have organized life. Ms. Komal Bansal, pioneer of KBK Raksha encouraged girls to think about self-defense. Mr. Suhel Dhayagude, lawyer by profession, explained how to behave and react in certain situations by giving live demo.
Outcomes: Girls participated very enthusiastically. Girls also participated in practical session with vigor and they were happy to know that how self-defense can help in building self-confidence as well.
Automobile Servicing & Maintenance Workshop
Date & Day: Thursday & Friday – 22nd & 23rd Feb.2018

Objective: To inculcate a practical hands on experience on automobile servicing and maintenance for the the students and fill the gap between theory and application based knowledge.
Outcomes:
The students were exposed to each and every component of vehicle and their functioning. It helped to bridge the gap between theory and practical application based knowledge.
Summary of the Activity/Event: T22nd Feb: 10am – 1 pm at Vidyut Motors Volkswagen, Pune. Students gone through various departments of service centre and gained the knowledge about Volkswagen vehicles22nd Feb: 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm at PES MCOE, Pune. Detailed workshop conducted on bike servicing and maintenance.23rd Feb: 10 am – 5:00 pm at VG-TAP Lab MMIT,Pune. Detailing and trouble shooting on Volkswagen Passat vehicle.

Lecture on topic “Well Girls Session” (Female Health Awareness)” for Girls, under VKM was conducted. The main motive was to give tips related to female Health awareness. She covered general health awareness of women, Nutrition’s requirements, puberty-common problem in girls, addiction’s and its implications, Diet and exercise. Girls from all streams had participated in the program and were benefitted by the lecture a lot.
Outcomes: Developed self-confidence and created health awareness.

Objective: To make student ready for his/her career by introducing skills like aptitude, communication, presentation etc. in him/her.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
Aptitude is basically defined as an innate, learned or acquired ability of an individual to perform certain tasks. Aptitude tests inculcate many factors like Numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, abstract reasoning, speed, accuracy, and other such abilities. Training is organizational effort aimed at helping students to acquire the basic skills required for the efficient execution of the functions for which they are learning. Development, on the other hand, deals with activities undertaken to expose students to perform additional duties and assume positions of importance in the professional life. Keeping all this in mind, Department of Computer Engineering of PES Modern College of Engineering had organized two days workshop on “Career Readiness with Proper Guidance and Right Attitude” in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University Under Student Welfare Scheme on 24th and 26th of January 2018.
Outcomes: Students get knowledge on Soft Skills, Interview Grooming, English Communication, Aptitude practice etc.

Objective: To guide students for updating their latest knowledge of the course, they undertake at the first year level.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
From 25thoct 2017 to 20th Jan 2018, Dr V U Edlabadkar, Associate Professor, Mathematics Dept& Mrs. Prajakta Jamdade, Assistant Professor, Mathematics Dept ,PES’S Modern College of Engineering, gave valuable information on Topic: Applications of Mathematics in Engineering Field.The main motive was to guide the First Year Engineering Students for improving their knowledge related to fundamentals of Mathematics and its applications in Engineering Field. Students of all streams had participated in the program and were benefitted by the valuable information given by the Faculty member a lot.
Outcomes: Offered guidance to the students in their relevant subjects to be pursued by them to attain their best potential.

Objective: To develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic and commitment to society.
Summary of the Activity/Event:
KarmaveerBhauraoPatilKamavaAnis hikaYogana (Earn and learn scheme) was organized in PES’s Modern college of Engineering Punefor Academic year 2017-18.Students parents having income less than 5 lakh enrolled their name for the scheme. The Scheme was started from month of July 2017 by conducting interview by the committee member formed in the college.Students from different department enroll their names. 35 students were selected and allocate work in library, Department and student section apart from their academic hours. Students were financially benefited or also appreciate Savitribai Phule University of Pune and College for implementing scheme through their feedback and made the scheme successful.
Outcomes: Keeping our youth gainfully employed as well as to contribute from civil society by making higher education accessible and available to the poor, meritorious and the marginalized.
