Title: Visit to AIC(Atal Incubation Centre) - SEED IISER, Baner Pune

Day and Date: Wednesday, 3rd May 2023
Description: The visit to Atal Incubation Centre was carried out on 3rd May 2023 in order to understand the startup processes exist at their center. Students viewed the incubators and students were also visited in biology, chemistry and design labs to understand the different processes. There were expert persons present who had given us information about 3D printing technologies, plants animals’ cells preservation, centrifugal forces, purity checking machines etc. Mr. Narendra Bhide sir who is the pioneer of T3 molecular biology shared their journey of entrepreneurship with us. Mr. Nilesh Joshi one of the incubate also given information regarding his startup.

Description: स्वामी विवेकानंद जयंतीचे (युवक दिन) औचित्य साधून मॉडर्न अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालय एम. सी. ए. विभाग फिलॉसॉफर्स क्लब आयोजित स्वामीजींच्या वास्तव्याने पुनीत झालेल्या भारतातील सहा निवडक स्थानांची महती विवेकानंदांच्या प्रेरणादायी जीवन कार्यासह विशद करणारी तीन दिवसीय व्याख्यानमाला आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. भारतात काही ठिकाणी स्वामी विवेकानंदानी दीर्घ काळ वास्तव्य केले. ती प्रेरणादायी स्थळे १) कोलकाता- स्वामीजींचे जन्मघर २) दक्षिणेश्वर ३) बेलूर मठ आणि त्यांचे दीक्षा स्थान बरानगर मठ ४) उत्तराखंड मधील अल्मोडा आणि मायावती अद्वैत आश्रम ५) राजस्थानातील खेत्री-अलवर ६) कन्याकुमारी आणि रामनाद-रामेश्वर-पांबन. ह्या सहा ठिकाणच्या वास्तव्यात त्यांच्या जीवनकार्यावर दूरगामी प्रभाव टाकणाऱ्या महत्वाच्या घटना घडल्या. त्या घटना विशद करणारी ही व्याख्यानमाला मुलांना खूप भावली. प्रतिकूल परिस्थिती आली तरी आपल्या ध्येय्यावर आपण ठाम राहून परिस्थितीशी कसे दोन हात करावेत ह्याची शिकवण मुलांना मिळाली.

Description: The Code Cooks Club under the Department of MCA, of Modern College of Engineering organised a session on IoT, Robotics and Self Driving Cars Technology on 27th December 2022. The Chief Guest of the event was an alumnus of the MCA Department of the college - Mr. Omkesh Mundhe who has presented his research paper at International Conference on Data Management. Mr. Mundhe spoke about how the various technologies used in IoT. He gave students an idea about the Arduino board how it is used. Basic language used - C . He showed various prototypes of cars also his own projects - Jal Kachra Bot and VESBOT.
He showed the working of self-driving cars :
i) The sensors used – front, rare, down, left and right
ii) Detecting obstacles
iii) Accelerometer sensors
iv) Reinforcement learning
He made the students familiar with two popular self-driving cars namely Tesla and Waymo. He made the topic easy to understand and encouraged students to start exploring just by searching online, asking questions. It was overall an interactive session enjoyed by one and all.

Description: “The success stories of Entrepreneurs” activity conducted on 22nd Dec 2022 Under this activity students had selected topics related with the successful entrepreneurs. Students showcased the information about these entrepreneurs in the form of a story starting from how they thought of innovation till current revenue generation etc.
Students prepared a presentation in the form of story and presented the topic this will help to improve public speaking amongst students.
