Objectives :
Participation in Robocon-17 which aims to:

- Develop software skills.
- Get aware of installation process.
- Design different hardware as per requirements.
- Built team work.

Outcome :
Students from different departments have improved their technical knowledge, leadership qualities and team spirit. This will help them in future.

Summary Report :
Robocon is an International event. Students from various engineering colleges of 16 countries participate in this event to become International Level Robotics Champions. The National winner of each country represents their country at the international level.

The National Robocon in India was scheduled from 3rd to the 5th of March, 2017 at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Balewadi. 105 teams from all over India has participated to achieve the same goal. We cleared the Superleague round in which 24 teams were selected out of the 120 participating teams. Then we went on to the quarterfinals in which top 8 were selected out of 24. We acquired 5th Rank in the competition in the Finals out of 120 participating teams from various parts of India. The quarterfinals was shown live on Doordarshan Television Network.

- Robocon team leader Atharva Paralikar explained different types of robots made by Team Vulcans, Team e-Yantra members and different activities conducted under robotics club.

Students got idea about how the information has been sent via secure channel in day-to-day operations. The session also helped to enhance the knowledge about issue in networking with respect to information and precaution to be taken.

Mr. Swapnil is an experienced person in information security management in networking. The topic he covered was about Information Security, types of attack, Cryptographic algorithms, different protocols and Secure Socket Layer.

Outcome:
Student come to know about different types of crimes in cyber world. Student also understood what are penalties associated with these crimes.

Summary Report:
This session was arranged for all SY & TY MCA students, to get acquainted with various cyber-crimes which are taking place current and precautionary measures to be taken. Mr. Nawal started his lecture with various types of cyber-crime viz. Phishing, Banking or Financial or Card fraud (Skimming, Online transaction fraud) , Morphing, ID theft ,Cyber Warfare, Cyber Terrorism etc. by giving various examples. Also he explained regarding its safeguard. Further he shared career options with this field like Cyber Forensics Analyst, Security Operations Analyst , Security Engineer, Security Architect, Network Security Architect and ethical hacker with its types too.
